Cosmic Wonder

So I went to a gallery tonight- I'd say more than 800 people were there. Okay, that sounds incorrect- it was about 800. Never (and I mean NEVER) have I been so disdainful of any one collection of art. Everything there was not even abstractionistic paintings but rather psycho psychedelic projects which the vast majority of the 800 people looked upon with nodding understandment. Bullshit. The whole thing was absurdly pretentious and there were points where I was unable to contain my laughter. Let me make a list of what I remember:

*A video of a random part of a forest with a skull appearing
*A video of a car driving around the streets of Oakland by itself
*A zen garden with no rocks but paper windmills (I was sorely tempted to accidentally trip on it)
*A carpet Zen garden (i have noo clue)
*A video kaleidoscope (decent)
*Three pieces using feathers and mica (I actually really liked this- you know me and mica...)
*A tent shaped like a rocked where sweaty people played inside.
*Random photos just glued to the wall
*Random text written in arbitrary places- kid font
*Deer made out of used soap
*A wooden box with grass growing
*Scary white cloth people with broken bottles and shards scattered about them
*A girl dressed up pseudo-tribal carried on a triangle by three guys wearing t-shirts tied around their heads
*Plates which looked like they were manufactured in some Korean sweatshop
*Big plasic ants glued across a portion of the walls

There was much more but thinking about it hurts. The gallery made me see the 'other' side. For the first time in my life I was all for being a hard-ass republican and it (the stinkin gallery) made me crave a big juicy capitalistic corporation burger from mcdonalds. Luckily, I was able to control myself. But I will never look at another bar of soap the same again.

Intro

I am so unmotivated to do anything except laze around and sleep. My life is without drive. But later, maybe later, I will act. Just not now. Now, just let me sleep.
